My mom won't get that camera out of my face!

I like to keep it moving.

Hi guys!

I'm back from a brief hiatus. Mom and Dad have been making me unpack and dust
everything off. But we're in the house and we are all getting settled in. Here I am at the end of my gelato Valentine's date with Mom and Dad.

So our new house is fun and it has a lot of parts I like to play with. Sometimes (true story) I will climb in there with a book, say bye bye, and close the door.

Adults are annoying sometimes. So I called my girl Zadie over to show her how much fun it is to get away from your parents.

You guys wanna hear a funny story? On the first night in our new house we all get sick with the flu. We puked all over each other, but I got to take
four baths in one day! FOUR! My bathtub is huge. It's like a swimming pool. Wanna see? This is me and my friend Zadie checking out how fun the rest of the house is (after we were all better).

So Dad and I just sat around in my chair wearing Mom's slipperboots and feelin pretty crummy.

You know, sometimes - when I nap - I am up there for so long just thinking and talking to myself (incoherently, really) and I catch a whiff of inspiration and I just go with it. I call this design America's Next Top Project: Dancing With the Runway. I hope you like it. (
Note from Finley's mother: I have no idea how she managed this one. She likes to take her shirt off when she naps. All I can guess is that she took it half-off during her nap, and then tried to put only the sleeve back on. But this is how she woke up. The midriff kills me.)

So that's all the news around these parts. My Grammy and Bucket are coming to visit soon and I can't wait. Good times. Good times.

What I've been up to

So, as you probably heard, my mom and my dad bought me a house. So we're going to move into it in a few days. But before we do, I really thought that maybe we should do a little painting. Here I am buying supplies at the paint store.

But before any painting can happen, I think I need a manicure. Please excuse me while I arrange that. Thanks.

Kay, Hon. That'll be just one more sec, thanks.

Over the weekend Dad took me to this place where they painted a doggie on a wall just for me. And I looooooove doggies, so I was very excited.

Earlier that day I decided that I am a big, big fan of buttermilk pancakes. Big fan. But please don't give me any of that fakie maple. I will throw it on the floor. I promise.

But since we're moving on Friday, I'm just sitting around chillin, waiting for my parents to show me around my new room. Moving is kinda fun. And I love Portland.

Early morning animal

Sometimes I wake up feeling pretty wild.

The week in review

Well, I started off the week with a little virus. Nothing major, just a little of this and a little of that, so Mom took me to the pediatrician. I should be fine any day now.
In the meantime, I'll just scratch this little itch.

And then my Auntie Stacy came over for a visit, and she started to sing me my favorite song. But the time she sang it to me for the 16th time, Dad decided that it was time for the urban remix version. Those mad beats in the backgroud are none other than the Notorious B.R.i.T.

Since I was feeling better, we decided to celebrate by going to check out the new cupcake bakery around the way from our temporary housing. Their cupcakes are OK, but I think Mom's are better.

I have also decided that yogurt tastes better with fish. Blue fish and green fish, to be exact.

We're moving into our new house next week, so don't be mad if I don't get a chance to blog over the weekend. Mom and Dad hog the computer all the time, but if I get a chance I will stand in front of the camera for your viewing pleasure. Have a good weekend.

Earning my keep

Hi guys,
It's me, Finley. My mom and dad just moved us to Portland, and they told me that I need to "get a blog" if I'm gonna keep eating so much and wearing such expensive diapers. So I'm like, fine. I'll get a blog.

So then I went to show them the new blog I made and my mom said, "Blog? You think we said get a blog? NO! We said get a job. A j-o-b. Somebody needs to work around here and it ain't gonna be me."

So anyway, here's my blog.

Thirsty today

Okay, who's going on the coffee run? Not it!

Betsey and I are gonna go trolling for dudes. Then we can meet back up for lunch, if I'm not napping. Don't disturb me if I'm napping.

If I am napping, then we'll catch back up for happy hour.

Now be a love and fetch me another coffee. This one is empty and I've got tons to do.

Oh, hell. Why wait for happy hour? Cheers!

I got the music in me

My mom wanted me to get a musical instrument. She suggested a kazoo. Betsey, my intern (read: nanny), thought this would be a good accompaning sound. And the acoustics are great here in corporate housing in downtown Portland.

Better than a jungle gym

Sorry this is so dark. My mom didn't get the sound and lighting guys over in time for the filming of this little vid. So adjust your screen. Because I am CUTE. Very cute. And I love to hi5 my dad. He's cool.

Morning calesthenics

My mom lets me rock out. good thing we have the same taste in music. I danced so hard my pants fell off!

Ugh! These people.

All I'm trying to do is get a bite to eat around here. Is that so much to ask? Really.
